The National Examination Board is going to open the registration form of class 9 and the application form of class 10.
The board meeting has decided to open the registration and application form even though the body conducting the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) has not been decided yet.
Controller of Examinations (Class 10) Ram Raj Khakurel said that the board has paved the way for the same.
In previous years, both forms were usually opened in the first week of September. The form was not opened this year as it was not clear whether the SEE would be run by the National Examination Board or the state or the school as it was last year.
“It is still unclear who will conduct the examination and by what method,” said Khakurel, the Controller of Examinations. The board had last month asked the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology to clear the way by making a decision in this regard.
He informed me that the form will be filled up by mid-January. “As in the past, students will have to fill out forms at school. The filled form should be sent by the school to the concerned education development and coordination unit, ”he said. Even if the students are in their district due to COVID-19, now they have to go to the school where they studied to fill up these forms. It is customary to make public 35 days notice to fill both these forms. There is an arrangement for the unit to maintain the student’s symbol number. The fee for the SEE application form is Rs.500 and for the registration form is Rs.300.
